Heagle Park Floodplain Restoration
The purpose of the Heagle Park floodplain restoration is to prevent flooding impacts to the City of Hailey’s wastewater lift station. The work includes a regrade along Della Mountain, removing approximately 250 cubic yards of material, the
installation of a number of engineered Log jams upstream to promote desirable hydrologic
pathways and the removal of approximately 365 linear feet of legacy riprap to reconstruct a
historic floodplain bench. Additionally, 1,100 tons of Class III riprap will be imported to provide
additional protection and fortification.

The Flood Control District #9 is a partner in this project along with the Idaho Water Resource Board, Land Water and Wildlife Program, and the Wood River Land Trust.
